Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas Nice.
It was designed by the architect of the Transfiguration in 1912 at the site of the former villa of the Imperial family.
As in all respects magnificent artistic monuments of Russian church architecture, the temple is considered the most beautiful and valuable Russian Orthodox Church outside of Russia and the first of the Russian Church Abroad was given the honorary name of the Council.
for the construction of the Cathedral of the best European materials were used: lining Brick is manufactured in Germany for tile and majolica domes - in Italy, carved marble by Italian craftsmen. The dome of the bell tower and all six crosses, crowning the head, covered with gold leaf. External decorative elements (arched doorways, niches for windows, door trim and doorways of the southern facade, balconies in the bell tower, etc.) are made of carved white marble and is unique in its perfection work.
